From the personal side arms to the larger support weapons
Americans brought a variety of weapons with them to Guadalcanal.
On Guadalcanal, Marines were typically short
on supplies and equipment and carried out-dated weapons relative
to the Army counterparts that arrived in the later stages
of the campaign.
Some weapons were more sucessful than others, each are important
to the legacy of Americans on Guadalcanal.
