41st Fighter Squadron operated in the South West Pacific Theater during WWII. Pilots flew the P-39 Airacobra,     P-47 Thunderbolt and the P-51 Mustang in combat. Experience the unit's history, told by the veterans themselves from the earliest pre-war maneuvers, attack on Pearl Harbor and transit overseas. Learn about the squadron's service in Australia, New Guinea, the Philippines, Okinawa and the occupation of Japan, earning three Presidential Unit Citations.
